In 2006 the American Red Cross joined the American Association of Blood Banks and America’s Blood Centers in asking the Food and Drug Administration to lift its lifetime ban of gay men from donating blood.

I’m sitting in the library at a computer, and the guy in front of me (at another computer) is laughing to himself, coughing and making unrecognizable sounds and noises. Perhaps he’s on Facebook or Twitter and saw something funny.
