I think I’m like most college students in the sense that I get most of my political news from The Daily Show. While that gets me a good laugh on the current candidates, my knowledge on their actual platforms is only what comes from the interview later in the show.

Allow me to step out and say what we all think but no one really wants to say. I hate Earth day. The hippies getting in big drum circles and doing crazy drumbeats, people dressing up as delicious looking endangered animals, and the occasional group of people claiming that we’re all screwed and going to die. Big Whoop.

Recent public opinion polls indicate that regardless of which way we may be leaning politically, or even if we’re upright in the middle, that the majority of us have some degree of dissatisfaction - ranging from howling anguish to subtle unrest - about the direction in which our country has been moving. The American people seem keen for a course correction.
